Benevolent Fund

DESACCO Benevolent fund is a welfare fund established to assist members in case of death of their spouses’ children and biological parents and members dependents incase of death of spouse. The fund covers one spouse and four children per year. Upon death, the following is paid to the member or his dependents.

        Member        Kshs. 100,000.00

        Spouse         Kshs. 100,000.00

        Children        Kshs. 50,000.00

        Biological parents  Kshs. 50,000.00

Member are requested to nominate spouse, children and biological parents who will be covered by the fund.

Members to attach copies of ;

a.     Copies of ID/surrender of ID (Principal member, spouse, biological parents)

b.     A stamped burial permit      

c.     Birth certificate of the principal member

d.     Birth certificate of child.

e.     Marriage certificate in the event of death of spouse

f.      Death certificate in case of Principal member 

g.     Police abstract in case of accidental death

h.     Bank details to include name of bank, account No., and bank branch.

i.      Proof of dependency for children between the age of eighteen (18) years and twenty-five (25) years

Note. All documentation regarding the benevolent fund should originate from the unit level and certified as true copies at the same level before forwarding to our offices. The documents should be accompanied by a forwarding letter signed and stamped by the command element in the unit. The documents should bear the seal of the unit.
